Overview and Responsibilities

Provide instruction for the population health and health administration programs, assess educational outcomes, provide academic advisement, engage in scholarly and service activities, and support the mission and vision of Baptist Health Sciences University.  Candidates with teaching experience, a planned research agenda, and/or practical experience in population health, maternal child health, rural health, operations, analytics and/or informatics are encouraged to apply.  Serves under the administrative direction of the Chair of Health Administration and Population Health.  


  • Master’s degree in public health, health administration, or a related/relevant field. Terminal degree (PhD, EdD, DrPH, JD, MD) preferred.  
  • Evidence of ability in teaching, scholarship, and service. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching, mentorship, and/or preceptor experience.  
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, ethical decision making, and strong communication, teamwork, and mentorship skills.  
  • Demonstrates values and behaviors consistent with the University's mission, vision, and values.
