Supervises the overall residence life experience in support of and in accordance with the college’s goals and objectives. The Residence Life Specialist lives on campus in an apartment provided by the University. Coordinates and maintains essential functions related to campus housing and the broader scope of the residence life experience, including programming for residents, selection and supervision of Resident Assistants, policy enforcement, and conflict resolution. Provides leadership in the residential facets of learning communities. Assists with coordinating food service for the residential community. Under the general direction of the Director of Student Services and Housing.
The person in this position will serve as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). A CSA has significant responsibility for student and campus activities and is designated as an individual to whom students and employees should report criminal offenses. It is the responsibility of the CSA to report to the Security Office all allegations of crimes when it does not violate confidentiality of student or employee.
Bachelor’s degree. Master’s preferred.
One year of work experience in residence life or campus housing at a college or university. Additional experience in social media, marketing, or campus life a plus.
