Educates students by supervising clinical experiences in an assigned patient care setting in areas(s) of expertise as well as teaching responsibilities in the classroom, as assigned. Augments College nursing/allied health faculty with practicing nurses and allied health professionals to expand the College’s capacity for enrollment and enhance preparation of future nursing and allied health professionals.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In Allied Health, a Bachelor’s degree in a related or academically appropriate discipline and the terminal degree/certificate in the professional discipline.
Three (3) years of current clnical experience in areas where assigned to supervise students.
Completion of preceptor program provided by the hospital and has served as a preceptor.
Evidence of potential ability in clinical instruction. Participation in professional organizations.
Current license/certification to practice in Tennessee as appropriate to the professional areas of practice.
