  • Overview and Responsibilities

    Educates students in the professional nursing courses by providing instructional experiences that support mission and goals of Baptist College and the Baccalaureate Nursing program. Specialty areas in Pediatric Nursing or Psych Mental Health desired.

    • Assesses educational outcomes and uses data to revise curriculum and instructional methodology with goal of ensuring competent entry-level practitioners and good citizens.
    • Under the administrative direction of the Academic Dean and/or general direction of the Program Chair.

                 Position may require hours beyond the 8-hour workday

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    Master's Degree in the teaching or professional discipline or in a related discipline plus minimum of eighteen (18) graduate  semester hours  in the teaching disciple plus work or teaching experience equivalent to three (3) years of college teaching in the discipline;  or

    Master's degree in a related or academically appropriate discipline and the terminal degree/certificate in the professional discipline plus work or teaching experience equivalent to three (3) years of college teaching in the discipline; or earned doctorate from and accredited institution in the teaching or professional discipline and evidence of potential ability in instruction;

    Good character, mature attitude and stable personality;

    Promise of teaching and in scholarly or creative works;

    Participatin in professional  organizations; 

    Growth towards academic maturity.  

     

    Current license/certification to practice in the State of Tennessee as appropriate to professional practice areas.
